This is a unit of work with methodological steps to a) teach the terminology around body and movement and b) incorporate movement into your teaching sessions in an ongoing and playful way after this unit is finished.
This is a group task activity for Year 9 when teaching the unit on Freizeit. They choose a form to present the various activities they do for sport and leisure. They work in a group of 4-5. The main thing is that they have to present to the German exchange students - ie: a real life application. This task was created by Sue Pommarède and goes with the two supporting submissions about Freizeit!
This is a set of cards with subjects, verb stems and verb endings - all from the Freizeit theme. You read out a sentence in English (eg) He plays tennis on Monday) and the class (in groups) assemble the cards correctly and work out the end of the sentence. It is a race against the other groups to be finished and accurate. This resource was created by Sue Pommarède.
