Claudia Jacobi shares photos from her recent trip to the Spreewald, about two hours from Berlin. The 'Spreewalders' belong to an ethnic group called the 'Sorben', and they speak a languages more related to Slavic languages like Polish or Chech. Enjoy the photos. I suggest that students discuss details in them that they find interesting, and compare/contrast them with the NZ equivalents...

Ausserdem ist das Seminarprogramm angehängt, so dass ihr sehen könnt, was sonst noch gemacht wurde.
This link will bring up a German-French website for young people, run by "Die bösen Wölfe-Jungreporter ohne Grenzen". It is an interactive site, with information (click Reportage) interviews with children from Berlin (click Interviews) games (click Graffiti), quizzes etc, and a 17 minutes long movie about a group of French students on their visit to Berlin, unfortunately in French... http://www.boeser-wolf.schule.de/journaux/18/index.htm
This is a photo based resource from TKI that could trigger much discussion and intercultural learning in both German and first language. It shows families from all over the world (including Germany) and their weekly groceries. Es ist wirklich erstaunlich!!!
There are generic teaching suggestions, but they could easily be used in German lessons. Thanks to Jeanne Gilbert for alerting us to this resource.
