This sheet should be used as a 'cheat sheet' by students: they can find the interaction stage they are in, look up the English phrase and then use the German equivalent. Frequent use, maybe after a challenge by you to incorporate different appropriate expressions every time they interact, should increas the students' repertoire!

A very good range of phrases fort all kinds of situations. Challenge students to use at least one every time they have a longer interaction or write something. This will gradually make the inclusion of an opinion phrase automatic and will also increase their repertoire (important for those wanting to reach Merits and Excellences, or simply want to use German with more variety).

This activity allows students to decide themselves which items they want to include in the activity. You could of course set parameters. It pays to have Q and A structures revised before attempting this back-to-back activity in your class.
